Meet Michelle Stehle

Founder of Remedy Scalp + Strand

Michelle Stehle is a licensed cosmetologist and body art specialist, with over two decades of experience in cutting, coloring, and styling, and almost a decade experience in micropigmentation. Having trained and performed treatments across the globe, her work has been recognized and awarded internationally.

Michelle is one of the few technicians to be dual certified in both permanent and temporary scalp micropigmentation procedures. Her scalp micropigmentation training is second to none.

Having such a deep and personal understanding of hair loss, Michelle’s commitment to ongoing education and mentoring ensures that Remedy stays at the forefront of innovative solutions for diverse hair loss concerns, including pattern baldness, thinning, alopecia, and scar camouflage.

Michelle maintains relationships with SF bay area’s top hair surgeons, whom she works with and is recommended by frequently. She is also a Member of the American Hairloss Association and is part of the Team Micro Certified Program, recognizing the most accomplished scalp micropigmentation technicians globally.

In addition to over two decades of experience in hair restoration, scalp micropigmentation (SMP), and advanced cosmetic tattooing, Michelle holds licenses in California, New York, and Pennsylvania and maintains a Body Art License in San Francisco and Alameda County.

Michelle is a recognized industry expert, serving as a panel speaker at the Meeting of Minds SMP Conference and earning accolades such as the Best Natural Hairline Finalist (2024) and Best North American SMP Artist Finalist (2023).

Her extensive training includes advanced courses in hyper-realism brow strokes, microchanneling, scar rejuvenation, and pigment layering for 3D SMP. Additionally, she has collaborated with leading specialists such as Dr. Miguel Canales at Silicon Valley Hair Institute and Dr. Wasserbauer at California Hair Surgeon.
